Image result for blair witch stillsDuring last lesson we were looking at different camera angles, camera shots and camera movements. We watched a video that demonstrated each one of the techniques which then made it easier to take notes as we could add an illustration to remember each technique. We also looked at the found footage genre which included two films, Blair Witch and Paranormal Activity. A level students in the past had used these two films as inspiration for their own film, such as using the depth of field focus technique for shots of plants and insects. In Blair Witch they used the technique of extreme close up as you can see from the picture.
Storyboards were also something we studied after watching the opening of the film Remember Me. Here we watched each 3 to 4 second shot and noted down what was going on in each frame. At the end of it we had the whole opening on a storyboard and the understanding of how a storyboard is made and recorded.
