We asked the question "would you still want to carry on watching our film knowing that the protagonist is a female?", here are some members of the audiences answers.

Characters
While sitting at the showcase and watching everyones openings, it came to my attention that we were the only group who had introduced a character but not their identity. I love the idea of this as audience members will be intrigued to watch the film to see who this mystery character is, what their purpose is and why they done wit they did, that being killing off our main character.
Broadchurch
Broadchurch series 2 The eight-episode series focuses on the sexual assault of a local middle-aged woman in the fictional, close-knit coastal town of Broadchurch in Dorset, England. The series continues to focus on the effect of Joe Miller's trial and Danny Latimer's murder on the families and community who we saw in the previous series.
Since only watching one episode of the first series, I decided to give the second one a go...and I was instantly hooked. I love the way they make you point the finger at someone but then make you rethink your decision and turn your attention to another character. Its fast paced and constantly giving you evidence to piece your own theory together about what happened to Trish Winterman, the victim of sexual assault. Its emotional yet haunting to watch at the same time as we relive the horrific event with Trish to help solve the mystery of who committed the crime.
Intercutting Scenes
Here we have Sophie, one of my group members who explains perfectly why we had to intercut some of our scenes. We wanted to keep the pace and tension high so having two shots of the same event from two different angles was the best way to go about keeping the tension.
While we were making the finishing touches to our opening, and with the help of students from our class, we realised we had too many long shots of our female character looking down at her phone which did not help build up the tension and overall made it a bit boring to watch. We looked looked through old footage and found clips that we could add in so there was some match on action with he character and the phone itself.

Plot
This is a french film based on a true story about Philippe Pozzo di Borgo and Abdel Sellou (Driss)
Philippe is a wealthy hotel owner who suffers from a disability after a fatal paragliding accident many years before. He is looking for a full time carer to live in his hotel with him so he can get the around the clock attention that he needs. Due to Driss just being released from prison and being kicked out of his home, this is the perfect job for him as he needs a new form of accommodation. When he turns up to the interview, he is uninterested and has no professional experience but is there purely for a signature from Philippe to say he tried for the job and can attempt at appealing for benefits. Driss shows no remorse for Philippes disability and that is exactly why he gets the job, he has no pity. The film then goes on to show their relationship and how they both adapt to each others company, considering they are both polar opposites. They become involved with each others personal lives and help one another get through their difficulties. Driss becomes a well mannered, educated man who shows Philippe that his disability does not hold him back from leading a normal life and brings love, happiness and passion back into it.
My Review
I found this film very moving and heartwarming. It was nice to see a film from another country and how they portrayed each character, such as the poorer to the rich. The storyline to me was very inspiring and shows that no matter how bad you think your situation is, theres always a way to make it better. My favourite character was Driss, this is because he doesn't care what people think of him and always speaks his mind even if what he's saying may be offensive. This is because he knows people need to be told certain things and he's not afraid to be the person to tell them. He is also very funny and compassionate towards Philippe towards the end which shows how Philippe also had an effect on Driss too. One thing I would have changed about the film was that I would have liked to have seen more of Driss's family life after being with Philippe to see how his change in character would affect the whole family.

Today we had our showcase which enabled us to present our finished product to our friends, family and students of Enfield County. We were then able to interview members of the audience which was good as we were able to get some fresh feedback from people who had never seen it before or been there during the editing process. It was also great to be able to sit and watch the year 13s showcase their finished product as it allowed us to see what we will be doing next year and start getting some ideas. Here is our final product we showcased this evening.

Credits
While we presented our finished product back to the class, it occurred to us that we had used the same name twice in the credits. We decided to go back and change it to another name using the same software Keynote that we had used for our previous titles. Trying to re do it was considered a problem for us the quality of the title wasn't the same as our previous one. It took us several goes of re doing it to get it looking non pixelated but in the end it turned out perfect.

Recently, the date for our showcase was announced, that being the 20th of this month. This is an exciting time as we get to show all our friends and family the finished product of all our months of hard work. We are preparing questions we would like to ask our audience in order to include the feedback for our evaluations. We are using written feedback along with filming members of the audience to get their opinion.
